My passion for angling began when at age 8 when my father took me out on the farm ponds. I soon became hooked and would regularly fish the local waters.
After studying BSc (Hons) Aquaculture and Fisheries Management at Sparsholt College, I was employed at Carp 4 Restocking and soon became hatchery manager, producing 1000's of ornamental koi and carp for both the ornamental and restocking markets yearly. I spent 8 years working for Tony Campbell, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge of the industry, it was then time to move back down to Cornwall.
The ponds on the family beef farm hadn't been used to their full potential for many years so I disinfected and redeveloped them. This was the start of the fish farm!
The opportunity then arose to set up Cottage Marsh Carp Syndicate on a separate site to the farm and I jumped at the chance!
