Our hand selected fish are grown on our spring fed site and monitored by Cefas regularly for SVC and KHV. We leave the fish to spawn naturally in the clay ponds and grade the off spring after harvesting. Only the finest carp are selected to be grown on, paying attention to scale pattern and body shape. The strain of carp originates from Tony Campbells fish at Carp 4 Restocking, which is a cross between a Leney and Dinkelsbuehl throwing lovely scaley carp with a frame built for growth, averaging a healthy 3-4 pounds a year in the correct environment.
Your mix of carp will be 90% mirror of varying scale patterns unless you require a higher proportion of commons.
The fish can be micro chipped prior to delivery if required (subject to extra charges)
